Natalie is 15 mo. old!

Natalie is 15 months old today! She's becoming such a big girl! She is now saying "up" really well when she wants to be picked up. She loves to carry around her doll, Molly, pretend to give her milk/water, and cover her up with a blanket -- she's going to be a great big sister. Tomorrow night I leave for Baltimore for work for a few days. My first time away from Natalie overnight, let alone a few days. I'm going to miss her!

Today we took her to the Life and Science Museum again. We explored a few new areas. We didn't even bother bringing the stroller; she just walked around for the most part or we carried her.

Natalie has recently figured out how to drink out of a straw. The key to encouraging her to figure it out without trying to tip the cup to drink was to put a strawberry shake in it. She loves them and pretty much drinks all of Papa's!

We've been taking Natalie to try out Gymboree, My Gym and Little Gym. Out of the three, she seemed to love Little Gym the best. She loved crawling all over the gymnastic style equipment. I couldn't keep her in the circle with the others during those times -- she wanted to run off to climb on the equipment. See if you can find her in some of these photos. :) At the end, they had ball and bubble time.

Most mornings, Natalie and I go for a walk before I start work. It's a fun time for us!

Nana and Grandpa's Visit

Natalie's Nana and Grandpa came to visit at the beginning of August. Natalie got to spend a few days with them while I worked. They went to the Life and Science Museum and the mall play area. They also spent a lot of time playing with her in her playroom and on the deck.

Natalie also found it fun to point out how my belly button is sticking out now that I'm carrying her little sister!
We spent Friday afternoon at Sandling Beach. Natalie had a great time playing in the sand with Nana and Grandpa.
On Saturday, we went to the Marbles Museum in downtown Raleigh for the first time. Natalie was off and running once we got there. She loved exploring the play grocery area, the fishing hole, blocks, the ball pit and flower/vegetable garden.
