First Snowfall for the Year

Claire got to experience her first snowfall today. And Natalie got to play in the snow for the first time given she was only 7 months last year when she saw her first snowfall. Unfortunately, Natalie was not at all happy to play in the snow. It seems to have scared her. She cried to go in almost right away. How did a Minnesotan and Wisconsinite have a daughter who's afraid of the snow!

Claire is finally letting me wear her occassionally. It helps when she wants to be held but I need my hands free to play with Natalie or get things done around the house. This is the Baby K'tan wrap which I like much better than the hotsling and Moby Wrap. Claire even falls asleep in it.

Natalie loves playing on the easel that Oma and Opa got her for Christmas. We got a roll of paper to put over the chalkboard when she wants to paint or use markers. She's our little Van Gogh!
Here are a number of videos we've taken over the last few weeks that I thought everyone might enjoy.

Natalie started a soccer class for 18 mo. to 3 year olds. She loves to kick around balls so we thought she'd love this class. So far she's having a blast.

Our Girls

My new favorite photo of our girls. Natalie asked Claire to lay down next to her in bed. She's got her arm around her. Natalie is so good with her little sister.

Time with Auntie Kendra and Hayden

Auntie Kendra and Hayden came out to visit this past weekend from Wisconsin. Natalie was very excited to play with Hayden and Claire, I'm sure, looked forward to meeting them for the first time. We had a great time hanging out with both of them. Hayden keep Natalie very busy; she was pretty wore out by the end of the day from playing. We took Hayden to the Marbles museum for the first time also. Here are some photos from our time with them.

Claire's first stroll around the neighborhood. Hayden and Natalie only lasted for a short amount of time in wagon before they were walking with us.

Fun time at Marbles Children's Museum. We forgot to bring Claire's strollers so Emile ended up walking all around the museum carrying her car seat. I suppose with getting two kids ready to go out the door, forgetting only the stroller wasn't so bad.

Here are some photos I took of the girls over the last few weeks. Natalie can now identify and say the colors "purple", "blue", or "green". She also loves to ask for and give hugs ("ugs") now. Claire has started smiling, cooing, sticking out her tongue and batting at her toys. Claire is sleeping 4-5 hours at a time at night which is wonderful. They're both so much fun to spend time with!

Here is Natalie's adorable smile that she gives whenever I ask Claire to smile for me. It so cute! She wants to make sure she's involved too.
Claire's version of tummy time.
Natalie had her last day of Little Gym this week. They had an awards ceremony. It was adorable watching her climb up to get her award.
