Our friend told us about this activity in which the Historic Oak View park in Raleigh has their annual pecan picking. We thought it would be a great new activity to do with the girls. They had a blast. The weather was perfect for it! Natalie loved looking for the pecans on the ground and actually found quiet a bit. Claire had a great time exploring the park floor also! Although we picked two bags full (pecans without holes in them), they turned out to not be usable for cooking. But we still had a great time and plan to take the girls again next year.
